Zoho CRM is genuinely good, and you should know why

Zoho is an Indian company that has been building CRM software for two decades, prices in INR natively, and offers more functional depth than almost anything at its price point. Its editions climb through Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate, adding multiple sales pipelines, custom modules, CPQ, unlimited reports, customer portals, journey mapping, territory management, multi-team hierarchies, approval processes, Zia AI features and custom machine learning models. There is a free edition for up to three users. There is a WhatsApp business messaging channel built in. There is a partner network across every major Indian city and an ecosystem — Books, Desk, Projects, Zoho One — that no small vendor can match.

If you need territory management, a customer portal, or a CRM that plugs into a dozen other business apps from the same vendor, Zoho is a better answer than Pingo360 and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. Pingo360 has none of those things.

Where per-user pricing starts to hurt

Zoho's India pricing page lists ₹0 per user per month for the free edition, capped at three users, then ₹800 for Standard, ₹1,400 for Professional, ₹2,400 for Enterprise and ₹2,600 for Ultimate, per user per month. The page notes annual billing saves up to 34%, which means monthly billing lands above those numbers. GST is extra, though registered businesses generally reclaim it as input credit.

Those are reasonable rates for what you get. The problem is not the rate, it is the multiplier. A five-person team on Professional is ₹7,000 a month before tax. At eight people it is ₹11,200. Then you hit the other structural cost of tiered per-user pricing: the feature you need is often one edition above the one you are on, and moving up raises the price for every seat, not just the person who needs the feature. Wanting approval processes for one manager can mean paying Enterprise rates for the whole team.

The practical result for a lot of Indian SMBs is that people who should be in the CRM are kept out of it to control the bill. Operations does not get a seat. The junior on the phones shares a login. Whatever the CRM was supposed to fix, it does not fix, because half the company is not in it.

Two things that also cost extra

GST invoicing is not part of Zoho CRM. It lives in Zoho Invoice, Zoho Books and Zoho Billing — capable products, and Zoho is a registered GST Suvidha Provider, but they are separately licensed and separately administered. And while Zoho CRM's WhatsApp channel works well, Meta's per-conversation charges apply on any platform, and setting up the integration cleanly is often where a Zoho partner gets involved.

Prices as of 10 August 2026, taken from Zoho's own India CRM pricing page; the ₹11,200 figure is simple arithmetic on the listed Professional rate. Zoho notes annual billing saves up to 34%, so monthly billing is higher, and GST is extra. Vendors change pricing — verify on Zoho's site before deciding.

Who should switch, and who should not

Do not switch if you are three people or fewer and Zoho's free edition covers you. It is free, it is more powerful, and ₹999 a month is a worse deal than ₹0. Do not switch if you depend on territory management, approval workflows, a customer portal, CPQ, or tight integration with Zoho Books, Desk or Zoho One. Pingo360 does not have those, and no amount of flat pricing compensates for a missing capability you actually use.

Consider switching if you are a five-to-thirty person Indian business whose sales actually happen on WhatsApp, whose Zoho bill grows every time you hire, who wants the invoice to come out of the CRM rather than a second product, and who does not need the top two-thirds of Zoho's feature list. That is the specific shape of business Pingo360 is built for.

What ₹999/month includes

Unlimited users and team members. Two-way WhatsApp Business inbox and website chat inbox. Automatic email logging. Sales pipeline with drag-and-drop boards and custom stages. Automation and reports. GST-compliant invoicing with the correct CGST/SGST/IGST split and UPI payment links raised from a deal. Custom objects, team roles, CSV and JSON import and export, two-factor authentication, daily backups retained 30 days, and database-level workspace isolation. Billed monthly through Razorpay, cancel anytime. The 14-day trial requires no credit card.

Pingo360 is operated by its founding team while formal company registration is in progress. Questions are welcome at [email protected].

Common questions

How much does Zoho CRM cost per user in India?

Zoho's India pricing page lists a free edition for up to 3 users, then Standard at ₹800, Professional at ₹1,400, Enterprise at ₹2,400 and Ultimate at ₹2,600 per user per month. The page notes annual billing saves up to 34%, so monthly billing costs more than these figures. GST is extra. Confirm current rates on Zoho's own pricing page before you decide.

Is Pingo360 cheaper than Zoho CRM?

It depends entirely on headcount. Zoho's free edition covers up to 3 users at no cost, which is cheaper than ₹999 a month for a very small team. Above that, the arithmetic changes: eight users on Zoho Professional at ₹1,400 each is ₹11,200 a month, while Pingo360 is ₹999 a month regardless of how many people you add. Flat pricing does not scale down; it also does not scale up.

Does Zoho CRM support WhatsApp?

Yes. Zoho CRM has a WhatsApp business messaging channel that connects your WhatsApp Business number so messages appear against CRM records. It is a real integration, not a workaround. The difference is emphasis rather than existence: in Pingo360 the WhatsApp inbox is the primary working surface rather than one channel among many, and it sits alongside a website chat inbox in the same view.

Can Zoho CRM generate GST invoices?

GST-compliant invoicing lives in Zoho's separate billing products — Zoho Invoice, Zoho Books and Zoho Billing — rather than in Zoho CRM itself, and those are licensed separately. Zoho is a GST Suvidha Provider and its billing products are strong at this. Pingo360 puts GST invoicing with the CGST/SGST/IGST split inside the CRM, generated from a deal along with a UPI payment link, at no extra cost.

What is Zoho clearly better at?

Depth and breadth. Zoho CRM offers territory management, multi-team hierarchies, approval processes, CPQ, custom portals, customer journey mapping, custom ML models on higher editions, Zia AI features, and an ecosystem spanning Books, Desk, Projects and dozens of other apps. It also has years of production hardening and a large partner network. If you need any of that, Pingo360 will not substitute for it.

How do I move from Zoho CRM to Pingo360?

Export leads, contacts, accounts and deals from Zoho CRM as CSV, then import them into Pingo360, which supports CSV and JSON in both directions. Rebuild your pipeline stages to match what you had — stages are fully custom. Run both in parallel for a couple of weeks before switching your team over, and keep the Zoho export as your own archive.
